08 March 2006. Long Haul Ethernet connection between Amsterdam and Brussels is ´live´. 06 March 2006. FiberRing provides part of the Metro Ethernet infrastructure for KPN Eurorings BV in Amsterdam. KPN offers a complete portfolio of network and bandwidth solutions for corporate customers, service providers and carriers - based on the international KPN fibre-optic network. This data- and IP network connects the major business and financial centres in 20 European countries, with worldwide connections to more than 180 countries. 02 March 2006. Eurofiber Nederland BV orders Internet Access. Eurofiber is a provider of managed dark fiber in the Benelux countries with the an extensive fiber-optic infrastructure in the region. It forms a neutral basis for ICT applications and enables fast, safe data exchange at low cost. 24 February 2006. FiberRing connects via 10GE to KPN´s IP network in Amsterdam. 15 January 2006. Long Haul Ethernet connection between Amsterdam and Frankfurt is ´live´. FiberRing will expand it´s Long haul ethernet network to Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Paris, Brussels. 02 August 2005. FiberRing upgrades it´s current rings in Amsterdam with a mix of CWDM and 10GE equipment. The 10GE ring will be used for large datastreams, whilst the CWDM solution will be used for diversification and expansion of the current PoP´s. FiberRing will use Cisco 10GE solution based on Catalyst 6500, and the passive Cisco CWDM solution based on CWDM GBIC/SFP. 12 July 2005. FiberRing partners up with Telecom Utrecht to provide Dark Fiber and Ethernet solutions in the Utrecht MAN.
