US-based company Blackboard orders IPT.

First wireless microwave connection is live from the Rembrandt Tower, Amsterdam.

Several ISP´s start with TeliaSonera IPT. The following ISP´s signed up for FiberRing´s free Test-The-Network proposal: CIPC, KDIS, ISP Services and  Digitalus.

The tallest building in Amsterdam, The Rembrandt Tower, will become part of the FiberRing network. This PoP will be used for wireless connections throughout the Amsterdam region to complement the current fiber network.

The Rembrandt Tower has been build in 1994, is  149,85m tall and has got 35 floors.

FiberRing implements a secondary ring structure in the Amsterdam MAN. This will enable FiberRing to provide different paths to the busiest datacenters.
