03 June 2005. US-based company Blackboard orders IPT. Blackboard is a leading provider of e-Education enterprise software applications and services. Global clients include primary and secondary schools, higher
education, corporation and government markets as well as textbook
publishers and student-focused merchants. Blackboard and its clients
have pioneered the emergence of the e-Education industry around the
world. 19 November 2004. First wireless microwave connection is live from the Rembrandt Tower, Amsterdam. 14 October 2004. Several ISP´s start with TeliaSonera IPT. The following ISP´s signed up for FiberRing´s free Test-The-Network proposal: CIPC, KDIS, ISP Services and Digitalus. 17 September 2004. The tallest building in Amsterdam, The Rembrandt Tower, will become part of the FiberRing network. This PoP will be used for wireless connections throughout the Amsterdam region to complement the current fiber network. The Rembrandt Tower has been build in 1994, is 149,85m tall and has got 35 floors. 14 August 2004. FiberRing implements a secondary ring structure in the Amsterdam MAN. This will enable FiberRing to provide different paths to the busiest datacenters. 15 June 2004. ISP Denit Internet Services connects to Abovenet IPT. Denit Internet Services has been offering Internet services, with anything from domain name registrations to virtual, dedicated and co-located hosting, since 1999. 05 June 2004.
