FiberRing

FiberRing´s mission is to add value to the metro portion of the telecommunications infrastructure. The telecommunications infrastructure can be separated into three components: international, long haul and metro. International networks are made up of terrestrial, undersea and satellite facilities that link together networks from different countries. Long haul networks are primarily fiber optic-based facilities that link together networks from different metro regions. Metro networks are composed of two parts: Metro Core and Metro Access. The Metro Core is the portion of the network linking together traffic aggregation points like carrier hotels and data. The Metro Access portion of the network connects enterprises to the Metro Core and to one another.

For businesses to receive the full benefit of modern communications networks, connectivity solutions must extend across all components of the telecommunications infrastructure. With a bottleneck in the metro network, businessess cannot access the next generation services available throughout the long-haul and international portion of the network. FiberRing is strictly focused on addressing the bottleneck in the Metro Core and Metro Access portions of the network but can also engineer unique connectivity solutions by bringing together its long haul and international strategic relationships to benefit its customers.

Metro Core

FiberRing creates Metro Core networks that link together major traffic aggregation points in each of its metros. Using fiber from a variety of sources, including leased capacity and custom constructed links, FiberRing creates a diversely routed, physical ring architecture that connects these carrier hotels, data centers and FiberRing Hubs together. Over the resulting infrastructure, FiberRing uses the most advanced DWDM, SONET/SDH and Ethernet equipment to enable the delivery of a full suite of connectivity solutions.

Able to serve most of the major traffic aggregation points in its metros and having created intra-building infrastructure to offer comprehensive coverage within each facility, FiberRing´s service reach in the Metro Core is unmatched. Furthermore, with the FiberRing Hub acting as the gateway between the Metro Core and Metro Access portions of the network, FiberRing has bridged the divide between these previously separate segments of the network.

Metro Access

Emanating from the Hub is the FiberRing Grid that utilizes the FiberRing architecture. This architecture ensures that all businesses along the Grid can be served with high-capacity fiber-based services. With a full complement of equipment, the FiberRing Hub can extend SONET/SDH, Optical Wavelength and Ethernet services from any business location along the Grid to any other point on the FiberRing network. The Hubs are designed and constructed to meet all industry standards and specifications with fire suppression systems, back-up power generators, battery back-up power and diverse fiber entrances.

With the ability to deliver high-bandwidth services along the Grid, FiberRing is opening the network bottleneck delivering high-bandwidth advanced services in the Metro Access market. Because these networks were specifically designed to serve the businesses along their routes, FiberRing can provide dedicated, diverse fiber links between the Hub and each business. The result is service can be quickly installed and customers can quickly change the service and the bandwidth they use.

Network Benefits

Advanced Service Offerings

FiberRing delivers the full range of transport services available on modern telecommunications networks. With the ability to offer Optical Wavelengths, SONET/SDH and Ethernet services ubiquitously throughout its network, FiberRing is agnostic with regards to the transport solution it delivers. Customers are free to choose the service that fits their needs.

Rapid Service Provisioning

FiberRing´s all-optical network, built with the latest technology and designed explicitly for the delivery of advanced telecommunications services, is optimized for rapid provisioning of service. Installation of a new service can occur in a matter of weeks instead of months. When ordering FiberRing service, customers can be assured that they can quickly start placing mission critical traffic on the network.

Highly Scalable Bandwidth
